Cardiff Blues have confirmed Health & Sports Physiotherapy Managing Director Dan Jones has been promoted to become the region’s new Head of Medical Services, succeeding John Miles who has now joined the Welsh Rugby Union.
Dan linked up with Cardiff Blues ahead of the 2016-17 season, having amassed a wealth of experience in elite sport. He has previously enjoyed spells with Worcester Warriors, Wales Sevens and Gloucester Rugby, while managing Health and Sports Physiotherapy, which has clinics across South Wales.
Cardiff Blues chief executive Richard Holland: “We’re delighted to make Dan our new Head of Medical Services and wish John all the very best for his new role with the WRU following more than five years of excellent service.
“Dan is the perfect fit to succeed John in the role and has an abundance of experience in the field both directly with professional teams and his own business.”
Ben Warburton continues as Senior Physiotherapist at the Blues, with Tamer James joining from Exeter Chiefs and Ben Searle taking care of the Academy to complete the Physiotherapy staff. Dr Gareth Jones also continues as Senior Squad Sports Physician.
