Daniel Jones MCSP AACP
Managing Director
Daniel graduated from the University Of Wales College Of Medicine, Cardiff in 2003 with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Throughout his career he has developed a broad range of clinical experience, from working with the general public to elite sports athletes.
Since 2006, Daniel has worked within the private sector in New Zealand, Australia and the U.K, with a specialist interest in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. He now works as the head physio for the Wales 7s squad.

Daniel has a strong interest in sport, having played rugby to a semi-professional level. His ambition is to continue to grow Health and Sports Physiotherapy Ltd as a company that provides a high standard of care, taking great pride in clients' health and well being.
Gareth Venn MACP MCSP AACP
Chartered Physiotherapist

Gareth graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2003, with a 2:1 and Clinical Distinction in Physiotherapy.
He has since worked as a Senior Physiotherapist for the Gwent NHS Trust. Here he has benefited from an excellent training programme and gained considerable experience in Musculoskeletal and sports medicine, treating a broad range of complex conditions.
Gareth is currently undertaking his MSc in Neuro-Muscular Physiotherapy at Cardiff University. He is now a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP), a group of Physiotherapists recognised for their standard of excellence in neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
Gareth is the clinical lead at our Abercarn clinic and has a specialist interest in the treatment of back pain, along with Golfing injuries and rehabilitation.
Gethin Lynch MACP MCSP AACP
Chartered Physiotherapist
Gethin graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2004, with a BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy. With seven years post-graduate experience within the NHS and private sector, Gethin has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience within the profession.
Gethin has gained further post graduate qualifications to include a Post Graduate Diploma in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy and is a member of the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) a group of Physiotherapists recognised for their standard of excellence in neuro-musculoskeletal physiotherapy. He is also a member of Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
Liz Wiley MCSP
Chartered Physiotherapist
Liz graduated from Liverpool University in 1998 with a Bsc honours degree in Physiotherapy. Based at our Cardiff clinic, she combines her role as a Senior Physiotherapist at Health & Sports Physiotherapy, with her role as an extended scope practitioner for the Cardiff & Vale NHS Trust.
Within her NHS post, Liz works alongside consultant surgeons running orthopaedic knee clinics, as a clinical specialist in knee injuries and rehabilitation.
Becci Hemming MCSP
Chartered Physiotherapist
Becci graduated from Cardiff University in 2008, with a First Class BSc Honours degree in Physiotherapy. Becci began her physiotherapy career working for the Aneurin Bevan Local Health Board gaining a broad range of clinical experience.
Becci is currently a full-time PhD research student at Cardiff University, as part of the Arthritis Research UK Biomechanics and Bioengineering Centre, where she undertakes pioneering research in the area of low back pain.
As the clinical lead Physiotherapist at our Cowbridge clinic Becci has a specialist interest in the treatment of back pain, along with sports injuries and rehabilitation.
Leighton Powell MCSP AACP
Chartered Physiotherapist
Leighton graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 2003. He has since worked as a Senior Physiotherapist for the Gwent NHS Trust. Leighton combines his NHS position with his role as a Senior Practitioner with Health & Sports Physiotherapy at our Abercarn clinic.
Leighton has a specialist interest in Acupuncture for pain relief and is a member of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP).
Lynne Ursell

Mark Evans
Mark graduated from the University Wales Institute Cardiff in 2000, with an honours degree in Podiatric Medicine. He works as a specialist Podiatrist within the NHS and part-time running a successful private practice.
Mark began his career working in general podiatry practice providing him with a good base of knowledge. In 2004 he advanced to an extended scope position as a Musculo-Skeletal Specialist treating more complex foot and lower limb problems. In 2008 he undertook the new role of Podo-Paediatric Specialist establishing dedicated clinics that focus on children’s foot and lower limb problems.
Throughout his career, Mark has dedicated himself to continued professional development gaining a great depth of knowledge by attending post graduate courses, conferences, seminars and through self directed study. Using his practical experience and diagnostic skills, Mark is confident at treating people of all ages with various foot, ankle and lower leg problems.
His aim is to provide appropriate treatments according to the needs of the client in order to provide them with the best possible outcome.
Clare Heal
Associate Sports Masseur
Clare Heal is an experienced sports massage and amatsu practitioner, with a background in national trampolining and coaching. She is a full member of the Sports Massage Association, Complimentary Therapists Association and Amatsu Therapists Association.
Clare uses deep remedial massage and alignment therapies to restore function to your soft tissues and organs, to regain natural movement patterns and function. Post treatment advice, to sustain positive alignment and tissue changes will also be given following treatment. The techniques used are very effective for pain relief, pre and post sporting activity, post operatively, for digestive problems, headaches and anxiety.
