Health & Sports Physiotherapy in Russia for RWC 7s

It's been a busy start to the summer with the end of the IRB Sevens Series leading straight into the Sevens World Cup in Moscow. Although Wales did not retain the title this time around it was a great experience and a privilege to be part of.

In the early stages Wales were on fine form defeating hot favourites Fiji to top the pool. The reward for heading the group was a quarter final against New Zealand, which resulted in a 22 - 10 defeat as New Zealand stormed to the title in the Moscow rain.

The focus will now shift toward pre-season working on players' fitness, pre-habilitation and rehabilitation requirements ahead of the IRB World Sevens Series kicking off again in October...

Pontypool Physiotherapy clinic launched

We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Mayberry Pharmacy in Pontypool, where we have opened our fourth clinic within their brand new healthcare centre.

Following the success of our Abercarn clinic we have expanded our network along the Torfaen Valley to accommodate out clientele in the Pontypool area.

Paul Mayberry, Managing Director of Mayberry Pharmacy, said: "As one of South Wales' largest pharmacy chains we are delighted to be partnering with Health and Sports Physiotherapy to offer their expert services to our patients. Patient care is very important to us and we believe that pharmacies have an important role to play in people's health. This means more than just dispensing prescriptions, which is why we have launched healthcare centres at many of the branches in our chain including Pontypool. These centres can be a one-stop shop for people in need of help with their health".

Clinics celebrate five years of physio services

June 2013 marked the five year anniversary of Health & Sports Physiotherapy Ltd...how time has flown!!!

From humble beginnings within Paul Gough's personal training studio, to our very own independent facilities in Cardiff with a network of satellite clinics across South Wales - it really has been a busy five years.

Undoubtedly the success of the practice has been built on our great team of staff, committed to providing the highest level of healthcare to every client using our services. Notably we have treated over 4000 individual patients over the past five years, not including sports contracts with the Welsh Rugby Union, Cardiff Blues and Cardiff Schools Football. In addition, we have provided and continue to provide occupational health solutions for large companies such as Royal Mail, Unilever and Waitrose.

The goal is to continue to develop our services to ensure all clients receive the best possible level of physiotherapy care in South Wales and beyond...

Media Wales steal the headlines in cricket match

Health & Sports Physiotherapy played its first ever cricket match in July, against an experienced Media Wales team to celebrate the clinic five year anniversary. Star performances from rising local musical star William Jones and Cardiff RFC rugby player Luke Ford put the clinic in contention for a surprise win. Sadly it wasn't to be, as the experience of the Media Wales side pulled them through winning by three runs...the finest of margins!!!

The post match function was held at the Cameo Club in Pontcanna, where family and friends joined both teams to celebrate the anniversary in style... We must make special mention and say a big thank you to Wales Online sports journalist Gareth Rogers, for organising the match and helping support the event.
